We invite all family members to attend as we will hold an Investiture for all new Scouts and social event from 8:00-9:00PM for all to welcome our new Scouts into the worldwide family of Scouting, an award presentation of badges and awards, meet the Leaders and other families and have a drink and cake. We would like all new Scouts parents to attend this special Investiture to see your young person officially become a member of the 35th Bournemouth Sea Scout Group, where they will recite the Scout Promise and be presented with their Group Neckerchief - a great opportunity for those memorable photos! THIS IS A FULL PARADE UNIFORM MEETING FOR SCOUTS AND EXPLORERS. IF NOT IN FULL UNIFORM (HAT, NECKERCHIEF WITH WOGGLE-excepting not yet invested Scouts, SHIRT/JUMPER, NAVY TROUSERS, BLACK SCHOOL SHOES) YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED. Our Scout's will be out having a short programme on campus during the AGM. Briefly, we will cover the past year's activities and successes and share our plans for the coming year. Whilst we have filled Trustee Committee Roles of Chairman and Members we do have a couple of spots we need help with - please think about putting your name forward if you can assist: Trustee Committee - parent representatives We also would like some help with non-Trustee Committee team members on our Fundraising Team and Social Media and Branding. You may have seen we have already started fundraising activities on OSM and could use team members to help run these. Whatever you can do to help would be great! WE ALSO HAVE AN IMPORTANT BUSINESS MATTER TO PUT TO YOUR VOTE - Our Charity status needs to be approved by our members. This will aid us in securing external grants and additional funding through the Royal Navy! For the social with cakes and drinks can you please confirm your attendance, how many family members you will bring, dietary requirements and any allergies. We will cater for all but will need to know numbers so please let us know via email return. Younger/older siblings are welcome so bring them along too. Thanks and see you there.
